Cicer arietinum

Story: An Italian variety, with beautiful feathery silver leaves. It produces abundant pods which can be eaten young much like a young pea pod. If let ripen the pod contains two chickpeas that have white skin and flavourful. We found it did really well in the summer of 2022

When to sow: plant out pot-raised beans in late may and early June or sow directly from mid-may until July.

Requirements: well draining soil, can be grown in pots. 

Harvesting: in the summer.
