story: these seeds are a gift from a seed saving network member. lovage is lanky herb that is easy to grow. we find it tastes like a cross between parsley and celery with a light anise-y flavour in the background.
when to sow: sow in march, plant our after last frost. or start indoors 6 weeks before last frost.
requirements: once the seeds have germinated, lovage is easy to care for
harvesting: harvest in july and august in southeast england, and use the tender leaves as needed. stems can also be blanched and eaten like celery.
please remember, we will only send out three packs of seed to first-season growers. if you order more than this, you are likely to receive just three packs to begin with. this is to ensure we get plenty of data in return, and to keep our stocks sustainable for years to come.
