Solanum lycopersicum

Story: This lovely little cherry tomato was donated to us in 2022 by steps Matthews - an avid home seed saver. We have grown it out in 2022 and 2023 and it did well, showing some resistance to blight compared to our other tomatoes (this will need to be checked for year and years to confirm - so let us know what you think). It is a vining, indeterminate tomato. The flavour is great - tart and zingy.

When to sow: from late March to early April if you will be growing the plants outdoors.

Requirements: nutrient-rich soil, regular watering, and a lot of sun.

Harvesting: typically July/later summer in southern England

Isolation Required: No

Saving Seed From Tomatoes: Allow the tomatoes to fully ripen on the plant then cut them open and squish the seeds out. Seeds need to be fermented to remove the sticky gel that surround them see our video on seed saving from tomatoes for the technique.

Please remember, if you’re an individual grower you can order up to 3 packets of seeds. If you order more than this, you will receive just three packs to begin with. This is to ensure we get plenty of data in return and to keep our stocks sustainable for years to come.*

*Community groups and Experienced Growers can order larger quantities, please email us if this is the case.

If an item is out of stock we will send a close alternative.
